Richard understands entrepreneurs. As a business mediator, Richard facilitated the formation of dozens of strategic business alliances, guided the essential restructuring of partnerships and roles within family businesses. He guided the integration of a newly acquired and entrepreneurial company for a multi-billion Euro international corporation. Richard helps owners see the value of operating with a solid and successful culture, and how this translates when there is a change of control.
Richard understands transition. His expertise in leading companies and their owners and leaders through growth and transitions such as acquisition, change in leadership, and change in ownership fueled his enthusiasm for achieving superb outcomes for business owners. Richard has formed and led owner advisory boards which guided principals through the white waters of successful exit strategies. He has assessed and upgraded management and leadership teams, and has realigned company boards to provide necessary governance and other required contributions.
Richard understands vision and diverse interests. In addition to his partnership role with Owner Transitions, he is a founding investor and current Director on the Board of Revere Bank, a multi-billion dollar Maryland-chartered commercial and community bank. He supports the Boards of two non-profits and provides pro bono strategic consultation to others. Richard and his wife, Susan, live in Ellicott City, Maryland. They enjoy distance running, hiking and high altitude trekking.
